A collection of mixed-use heritage buildings currently occupy the site of 33 Avenue Road, creating what is known as York Square in the city. The developers are proposing to preserve these heritage facades and integrate them into the podium of the building, while the contemporary tower with a glazed façade will rise above. The tower will be articulated with a set of stepbacks, along the east and west facades with balconies.
