Square One District Condos

The Square One District Condos is a new upcoming condo development by Daniels & Oxford Properties which is currently in its pre-construction phase at 4220 Living Arts Drive, Mississauga ON L5B 0E6. This condo development lies in the Cooksville neighborhood of Mississauga and is located at one of the major intersections of Confederation Parkway and Rathburn Road West Mississauga. The prime location of the neighborhood ensures the availability of amenities within walking distance and also ensures the abundance of public transportation. The site is also located in close proximity to the Square One Shopping Centre, where you can find a variety of stores and services. This project will consist of a total of two towers which will be 36 and 47 storeys respectively, comprising a total of 977 condo suites. As per the plan, there will be an additional 5000 units that will be constructed over the next 5 to 7 years. The Square One District Condos is part of an immense mixed-use community that will be developed in the priceless location known as ‘Square One’. The development will include a total of 37 high-rise towers that will consist of condos units, retail stores and offices, to be built on a 52-hectares of land. Once complete, the entire project will feature 18,000 units which can accommodate 35,000 residents. While half of the condo units will be up for sale, the remaining half will be put up for rent. The development also includes ample greenspaces within the community which will be accompanied by a pedestrian-friendly area called The Strand. The ample parking area around the famous Square One Shopping Centre will be used in the project. There will be three types of suites available ranging from 1-bedroom to 3-bedrooms with superior finish and quality.

Location & Neighbourhood

The prime location of the Square One District Condos puts you in a neighbourhood filled with amenities. Within walking distance from Square One, there are several restaurants to choose from if you decide to eat out. Just a few steps from your house and you will find Starbucks, Tim Hortons, Failte Irish Pub, Alioli Ristorante as well as  several other restaurants, cafes and pubs. Also a few minutes of walk away is the Art Gallery of Mississauga, Living Arts Centre theatre, Cineplex Cinemas Mississauga movie theatre, Celebration Square shopping mall, Playdium Amusement Centre, Sky Zone Trampoline Park and several other exciting destinations. When it comes to shopping, the Square One Shopping Centre is where you will get a great variety of food and shopping options. There are also supermarkets within walking distance such as Whole Foods Market, T&T Supermarket, Metro Hudson’s Bay department store, and Nutrition House health food store. The neighbourhood also has several good schools including Fairview Public School, T.L. Kennedy Secondary School, and Corpus Christi Separate School as well as many learning centres for adults nearby. This project lies within the Cooksville neighborhood which comes with a ton of surprises. Cooksville is a neighborhood in the western Greater Toronto Area, located in south central Mississauga, just south of the Square One area. It is regarded for its abundance in a variety of manufacturers, traders and renters. The neighborhood is bordered by Mavis Road to the west, Rathburn Road to the north and Cawthra Road to the east and south along the Queen Elizabeth Way. Cooksville is unlike a traditional suburban neighborhood and is more of an urban blend. It manages to be a homey community and is defined by its abundance of communal green spaces, bustling freshness and its independence from the big city. One of the best features about this neighborhood is that it is inexpensive and attracts several new immigrants, both young professionals and growing families who are planning on owning their first home. Cooksville is very distinct and the real estate is split between the several new/old condos along with the traditional homes. The population of the neighborhood currently stands at an approximate 11,000, but is growing rapidly as a result of the ‘Vision Cooksville’ proposed plan. The goal of this plan is to establish a community strategy for downtown Cooksville that will define a social, cultural and economic vision to aid in revitalizing the neighborhood.

Transit Option

The Square One District Condos is served well by train, road and bus network. The Cooksville GO train and bus station is located just a few minutes away from the condo development and can be reached simply by walking. Commuters can also make use of the Erindale GO which is located just a few minutes away and can transport commuters to other parts of the city and beyond. For motorists, a minute’s drive takes you to Highway 403 as well as Hurontario Street. Hurontario Street connects motorists to Highway 401 and Queen Elizabeth Way within a few minutes. Highway 403 can also help connect you to Highway 401, as well as to Highway 407. Thanks to the several highways and major streets, travelling in any direction is fast and convenient. There are also several bus stations located a few steps away that allows you to travel around the neighbourhood and to nearby areas.
